Plein Air at Arts in the Park - October 11th 

We’re excited to add a Plein Air Painting Day to this year’s Arts in the Park Festival at Cromwell Valley Park on Saturday, October 11, 2024 (10:00 AM – 4:00 PM).

This will be a relaxed, open opportunity for artists to set up and paint outdoors in the beautiful scenery of Cromwell Valley. We’ll provide free admission for participating painters.

Details:

• Date/Time: Saturday, October 11, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Location: Cromwell Valley Park (Festival grounds)
  2175 Cromwell Bridge Road, Maryland

• Schedule: Artists may begin at 10:00 AM and should wrap up by 4:00 PM.

• Flexibility: You are not required to stay all day; once a painting is finished, you are welcome to depart.

• Gallery Display: Completed works will be exhibited at the Towson Arts Collective gallery following the festival (details to come).

• Community Engagement: Visitors love seeing artists at work! Feel free to chat with onlookers about your process. We’ll provide TAC info cards you can hand out to interested guests.

This is not a competition—just a fun, welcoming day of plein air painting where artists can enjoy the natural beauty of the park, share their process with the community, and celebrate creativity together.

We’re looking forward to seeing umbrellas pop up across the park and watching the beauty of Cromwell Valley come to life on canvas.

All artists are welcome! Just bring your own supplies and creativity.

Event Details:
Restrooms available in the Willow Grove house.
Parking Elizabeth Davidson will send you a credential to show at the gate for free entry two days prior.
No sales on-site – This event is focused on creating art.
